Quality and food safety

Food safety is a key priority for Huijbregts Groep. Food safety is guaranteed in every possible way from purchasing to production and from logistics to quality assurance. Huijbregts Groep is certified in accordance with the FSSC 22000 global standard and Risk Plaza.

Huijbregts Groep does everything in its power to guarantee quality and food safety. The company has set up its own laboratory and test kitchen for this purpose, implements an allergen policy and, naturally, its operating processes are certified.

Laboratory
In the company's own laboratory, all material inputs and outputs are monitored as standard to ensure compliance with all pre-set quality requirements. The quality requirements are based on the latest food safety standards for which Huijbregts Groep is certified (FSSC 22000 and Risk Plaza). If necessary, additional checks can be carried out in accordance with individual customer's specific wishes.

Allergen policy
Huijbregts Groep does everything in its power to minimise cross-contamination during its operating processes. Several important measures in this respect include:
- No processing of nuts, peanuts, lupine or sesame anywhere in the company
- Quantification of potential cross-contamination problems with protein testing
- Up-to-date management system for data on allergens in processed ingredients, including supplementary protein information on allergens for each ingredient.

The number of recently introduced process innovations includes, for example, the high-care rooms, in which the risk of cross-contamination has been completely eliminated.
